Campaign "AGAINST VIOLENCE"

 

 

After numerous cases of animal cruelty we are planning actions as follows:
Incriminating of the extreme animal cruelty in the upcoming changes in the Penal Code through texts that shall declare it to be a FELONY.
Pressure on the institutions for effective control on the application of the Animal Protection Act.
Our actions shall be undertaken by the name of citizens’ organization “City For Responsible People” and shall support parallel actions of the environmental organizations.

 

Campaign shall begin with collecting signatures on paper.
The form for the petition can be downloaded from here.
Print out the form and collect signatures until 03.02.2009.
Only majors can sign the petition, citizens of other countries can sign it too. If you are asking strangers to sign the petition, please make sure they haven’t done it already.   

Permit from Sofia Municipality for collecting signatures in maintenace of the campaign.
Summary of our demands is at the beginning of each page.
In our argumentation the emphasis shall be on the following: unpunished animal cruelty is a matter of public importance, and the connection between animal cruelty and future violence against people and domestic violence is proven beyond a doubt.
